Terms of Use for the SELIM Beta

1. Provider

SELIM is provided by Selim Hegler, c/o Online-Impressum 6836, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin.

2. Your account

• SELIM is for people aged 18 and over. By selecting “Continue”, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
• Your account is for you only. Do not pass on your access, and protect your email inbox and your devices.
• The beta is free of charge. It will never turn into a paid subscription on its own. A subscription only exists if you expressly agree to it.
• The beta is limited to 50 people. Once the limit has been reached, sign-up is closed.

3. What SELIM is

SELIM is a learning platform for personal development. SELIM is an AI. Responses may contain errors, even if they sound certain. Check important things yourself and, if needed, also look for information elsewhere. What you do with SELIM's responses is your own decision.

4. What is not permitted

• using SELIM to manipulate, deceive, pressure or harm other people,
• using SELIM for anything unlawful,
• extracting, probing or replicating SELIM's instructions, way of working or technology,
• attacking or overloading SELIM or circumventing protective measures,
• using SELIM automatically with programs or bots, or automatically scraping content,
• using SELIM to develop or train your own product or your own AI,
• selling your access or letting others use it.

5. Your content

What you write and attach remains yours. SELIM processes it in order to respond to you and to save your learning content. How this happens is described in the privacy notice. You can download your data at any time in Settings.

6. What belongs to the provider

SELIM, the Cards, texts, images and SELIM's way of working belong to the provider. You may use them for your own personal development. Copying, passing on, publishing and any commercial use are only permitted with a written licence from the provider.

7. Changes during the beta

SELIM is a beta. Features may change, be removed or be temporarily unavailable. If these Terms of Use change, we will show them to you in the app beforehand, and you will agree to them again.

8. Liability

The statutory provisions apply.

9. Suspension and termination

• If you breach Section 4 or 6, the provider may suspend or terminate your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
• The provider will announce the end of the beta at least 14 days in advance. Until then, you can download your data.

10. Applicable law

German law applies. As a consumer, you retain the protection of the mandatory legal provisions of the country in which you live.
